Tricia Van Rossum, Ph.D., LCSW, CSOTP | Director of Clinical Care Services

Tricia Van Rossum is the Director of Clinical Care Services of Magellan of Virginia. In this role, Tricia is responsible for oversight of the Clinical team, which includes the management of Residential Treatment Services and Treatment Foster Care Case Management for all Virginia Medicaid members. This oversight also includes the management of Addiction and Recovery Treatment Services, as well as other Community Based mental health services. Prior to her current role, Tricia served as the Senior Manager of Clinical Care Services at Magellan of Virginia. Tricia joined Magellan in November 2013, when Magellan became the Medicaid Behavioral Health Service Administrator. Tricia has worked as a Care Manager and a Lead Care Manager before assuming the role as Senior Manager.
Tricia recently completed her Doctorate in Counseling Studies. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to joining Magellan, Tricia worked at a Residential facility. Tricia has over 15 years of experience providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient, inpatient and residential settings. Incorporating a key philosophy that clients’ voice and choice are essential, her primary focus is helping children and adolescents dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma and oppositional-defiant behaviors. As a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider, she also works with teens and women with problem sexual behaviors. Active in National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and Virginia Sex Offender Treatment Association (VSOTA), Tricia is committed to helping others achieve their recovery and wellness goals. Tricia is passionate about mental health and mental health reform.
